FAQs
WHAT MAKES YOUR PRACTICE DIFFERENT?
My approach combines bodywork, natural health education, and holistic wellness principles to support the whole person-mind, body, and spirit. Every session is personalized to meet you where you are on your wellness journey.
WHAT IS A NATURAL HEALTH EDUCATOR?
A Natural Health Educator provides information and education about natural approaches to wellness, including nutrition, lifestyle habits, stress management, herbs, aromatherapy, and other holistic practices. The goal is to empower individuals with
knowledge that supports healthy choices and overall well-being.
IS THIS THE SAME AS SEEING A CONVENTIONAL PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR?
No. A conventional doctor focuses on diagnosing and treating specific ailments with medication or surgery. Natural Health Educators do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe for medical conditions. Instead, they partner with you to discover the root causes of imbalances and improve your overall foundations of health. NHEs serve as educators and wellness advocates, helping clients understand natural health concepts and develop healthy lifestyle practices that complement their healthcare plan.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING AN INITIAL CONSULTATION?
Expect an in-depth 1 ½ hour session to discuss your goals, health history, sleep quality, stress levels, and daily habits. It may include assessments such as urine and saliva pH, iridology, and muscle response testing to identify underlying imbalances.
Following your consultation, you’ll receive a personalized wellness plan that may include nutrition and dietary guidance, lifestyle recommendations, natural remedies, essential oils, holistic bodywork, flower remedies, sound and vibrational healing, and CranioSacral therapy.
Each plan is thoughtfully created to address root causes and guide you toward sustainable, whole-body wellness.
DO YOU TAKE HEALTH INSURANCE?
Natural health consulting services are often considered out-of-pocket, though some clients successfully use HAS or FSA cards depending on their plan. You will want to verify coverage directly with your specific health plan. Please contact me if you need a receipt for reimbursement through a health savings account or flexible spending account.
DO I NEED TO BE COMPLETELY UNDRESSED?
No. You may undress to your comfort level. The practitioner will always leave the room while you undress and will use secure draping, uncovering only the specific are of the body being worked on at that moment.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING A BODYWORK SESSION?
Each bodywork session begins with a brief conversation about your wellness goals, areas of concern, and any preferences you may have. Based on your needs, techniques may be used to help promote relaxation, ease muscle tension, improve circulation, and support overall well-being.
WHAT IS REFLEXOLOGY?
Reflexology is a therapeutic practice that involves applying targeted, precise pressure to specific points on the feel, hands, or ears. It is built on the principle that these areas contain a micro-map of the entire body. Stimulating these “reflex points” is believed to promote health, relaxation, and balance in corresponding internal organs and systems.
WHAT IS CRANIOSACRAL?
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, non-invasive, hands-on treatment that releases tension deep withing the body to relieve pain and improve whole-body health. It focuses on optimizing the craniosacral system, which comprises the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround, nourish, and protect the brain and spinal cord.
DO YOU USE NATURAL PRODUCTS?
Whenever possible, I use high-quality natural products, including essential oils and wellness products selected with care.
IS AROMATHERAPY INCLUDED WITH BODYWORK?
Aromatherapy may be incorporated into your bodywork session or reflexology session when appropriate and desired. We will discuss preferences and sensitivities beforehand.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE BODYWORK?
This depends on your individual goals. Some clients come weekly or biweekly, while others benefit from monthly wellness sessions.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Late cancellations may incur a fee of up to 50% of the service cost. Missed appointments or no-shows will be charged 100% of the service fee. Thank you for honoring this time, as it is reserved especially for you.
